Greetings, Adventurers and fans! Manny714 here with exciting Summer 2023 News!


I'm thrilled to announce my participation in AniTOMO, the inaugural Anime Convention curated by Brooklyn's Bipoc Youth, hosted by the Brooklyn Heights Public Library!


I'll be involved in various roles throughout the convention, bringing my unique contributions to the event. Stay tuned for more updates and details!



Artist Alley:

I will be participating in the inaugural AniTOMO Artist Alley, which showcases a diverse group of Bipoc creators from New York! This event promises an incredible lineup of talented artists, and at my table, there will be exciting hourly prize giveaways.

Join me for an engaging panel that dives into the art of applying for Artist Alleys at conventions. Together, we'll cover a wide range of essential topics to help you excel in applying for Artist Alley! From effectively navigating applications to creating a standout portfolio, you'll be equipped with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed.



- The Impact Of Manga Beyond The Pages -

  • Where: Lower Level Multipurpose Room, Cadman Plaza Brooklyn Public Library

  • Time: 11:45 am - 12:30 pm

This panel aims to introduce attendees interested in Manga & Comics to a fresh and creative approach to writing. Led by Victoria L. Johnson, a prominent pop culture journalist with bylines in COMPLEX, Vulture, VIBE, and Mashable, this session will feature published authors who bring diverse perspectives to the table.

Join Jillian Rudes, Founder, host, and author of Manga in Libraries, as well as Manny Knight, an NYC illustrator, and Manga Artist influenced by 90s anime, comics, and JRPGs. Together, they will guide participants on how to get started, sharing industry insights and igniting new narratives and ideas. The session will be followed by an engaging Q&A session. But wait, there's more! Stick around for exciting giveaways from renowned establishments such as Kinokuniya Bookstore, BookOff, and Anime NYC."
